Swypefile - Promote Your Blog While You Make Money

Is Swypefile the next Digg? Unlikely. Is it the next Blogging Zoom? Probably not. Swypefile is an online community in the same vain as Digg and Blogging Zoom, but with a focus purely on Online Marketing. “Online Marketing?” I hear you ask in disgust. Before you dismiss Swypefile out of hand, have a quick look through the categories listed below.
As you can see there are a number of categories which might interest bloggers, even if you don’t consider yourself an online marketer. What follows is a discussion of the uses you, as a blogger, may like to put Swypefile to. As the title claims, you can promote your blog while you make money.
Promote Your Blog
Submit articles from your blog to gain exposure and feedback from your peers. If a reader likes your post, they can ‘Swype’ it. Like Digg and Blogging Zoom, if you get enough Swypes you can make it onto the front page. That could mean heaps of traffic.
A word of warning though. When submitting your article to Swypefile (or any similar sites), make sure it’s quality content. As this may be the first contact a reader has with your blog, you want to leave them with a good impression. If you submit sub-standard articles, a prospective reader might think that’s all you blog contains.
Earn Money From The Content You Submit
If you provide your Google Adsense Publisher Id to Swypefile, you will earn a share any Adsense revenue generated from your submission. The following extract from the FAQ describes how it works…
When you submit content to swypefile, we’ll display AdSense ads with your publisher ID on the pages containing your content 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time we’ll show ads using the publisher ID of the person who refered you to swypefile. If the person who refered you to swypefile has not added a publisher ID to their profile, then your publisher ID will be used 100% of the time rather than just 50% of the time.
Earn Money From Your Referrals
If you are able to refer new users to Swype, you will get a cut of their Adsense revenue as well.
Content submitted by your referrals - When people you refer to swypefile submit content, we’ll display AdSense ads on the pages containing their content. 50% of the time the ads will contain their publisher ID, and 50% of the time the ads will contain your publisher ID. If the person you refer does not have a publisher ID in their swypefile profile, your publisher ID will be used 100% of the time on all pages containing content they’ve submitted!
Network With Other Bloggers In Your Niche
Take the opportunity to get acquainted with like-minded bloggers. Exchange ideas and uncover new opportunities.
Swypefile (aff) may not be appropriate for all bloggers. It’s focus is online marketing so may not be relevant to your niche. However, we are all involved in online marketing (to some degree at least) when we promote our blogs. So even if you don’t have any content to submit, you may find interesting articles just as a reader of Swypefile.
