Make Money with AdVolcano

Are you looking for a new way to make money from your blog? Are you looking for an alternative to the CPC (Cost Per Click) model used by Adsense?

AdVolcano is a CPT or Cost Per Term advertising program, similar to Text Link Ads (aff). This means bloggers make money by selling ads on their blog for a fixed period. The blogger sets the period and the price. You may decide to sell ads for a week or a month. You may decide to sell the ads for $10 or $100 (or whatever).

This differs from CPC programs in that you make money just by displaying the ad on your blog, rather than making money each time the ad is clicked. I have read that CPT programs work better on some blogs while CPC programs work better on others. It may be a case of trying a number of each to see what works on your blog.

How Do You Get Paid?
AdVolcano pays by check with a $20 minimum payout. The date for determining payment is the last Thursday of each month. At that point those revenues accrued to Subscriber’s account sixty (60) or more days earlier shall become eligible to be paid. Payments will be made approximately 10 days after this time. This means you will be waiting for between 70 and 100 days for payment from the time you sold the ad. Advolcano pay out 75% of any ads sold. So, if you sell an ad for $100, you will be paid $75 with AdVolcano keeping the balance as a commission.

Also in the Terms and Conditions, there is the usual stuff about AdVolcano not being liable if an advertiser pays late or does not pay at all. If you decide to sign up for this program, make sure you read section 11 of the Terms and Conditions (on Fees and Payment) carefully, as AdVolcano leave themselves a number of outs when it comes to making payments.

I have set up an account and put 5 ads (in the left sidebar of Monetize Your Blog) up for sale just to test the program out. I will post more on this program if I get any sales.

Please note that I don’t know of anyone who has been paid by AdVolcano. I am still trying to find out more background on the company. If any other bloggers have tried AdVolcano, I would be interested in hearing about your experience.
