Live Pagerank Google PR Tool

While I was checking my Google Page Rank after reading the PR Update rumor on the forums at Digital Point, I came across a useful tool for checking page rank.

The tool is called Live Pagerank (oddly enough). You simply enter the url of your blog (or other website) and click on the Get Live PR button. The tool queries a number of google data centers, lists the page rank on each one, and gives you the average.

Why would you want to query multiple data centers? Well it seems that when a google update is in progress, the data can take a while to propagate between data centers. Also, even during normal searches, it is possible to get slightly different results depending on which google data center your search was served by.

Read about other tools I have used.

    Great link, thanks!

    Looks like Blog-Op = 0 :-(

    But Thermal = 4 :-)

Not bad I guess, Blog-op is only 3 weeks old, whereas Thermal’s 2 months.

Keep on working on those links I guess (thanks for yours).

You’ll find a better tool at:

It’s still very early days in the current PR update. Best not to get too excited just yet!

Chris - well done. Is that the first time Thermal has had a PR?

Adsense Tips - I did find references to that tool, but when I tried it, all I got were server errors. It’s seems to be working again, and your right - it looks like a better tool.

It will be if it happens, which is nice.

I see your article is moving up Blog-Buzz nicely :-)

It’s doing very nicely thanks. I still can’t believe that such an innocuous post has been so popular.

    Thanks again for the Buzz.
