Adsense and Traffic Exchanges

I found a couple of articles which discuss the use of Traffic Exchanges when you are using Google Adsense. It seems it is frowned upon by Google.
Paul over at Paulie’s Place received an email for Google Adsense warning him that they had the detected the use of certain traffic incentive programs for the purposes of generating page impressions and clicks and that such programs breached the Adsense Terms and Conditions. Read Paul’s article here.
The other article (Thinking of Using Hit Exchanges to Boost Your Adsense Revenue? Think Again!) reiterates the point that traffic exchanges are a no-no with Adsense. The article then goes on the say that Adsense is intended for existing sites which already have traffic and who want to generate revenue through advertising.
I have stopped using traffic exchanges as I doubt the quality of the traffic that is generated from them. Fortunately, for the short period I was using them, I had inadvertently left the Adsense ads off my blog.
