Signing up for Adsense

Quite by accident, I noticed a Quick Cash advertisement at the bottom of the www.blogger.com home page. It said:
With our new AdSense tool, it’s now easier than ever to make money by blogging.
So I surfed over to www.adsense.com to find out what AdSense was all about. According to the main page:
Google AdSense is a fast and easy way for website publishers of all sizes to display relevant Google ads on their website’s content pages and earn money. Because the ads are related to what your visitors are looking for on your site — or matched to the characteristics and interests of the visitors your content attracts — you’ll finally have a way to both monetize and enhance your content pages.
This sounds like what I am looking for. Even though I have no visitors to my blog yet (at least none that I know of), I thought there’s no time like the present to get started with adsense.
So I went back to the home page at blogger.com and clicked on the adsense link. I then followed the instructions (which weren’t quite right) and went to Template, Page Elements then selected Add A Page Element. This popped up a new window and one of the options was adsense. So, I clicked on adsense, entered some details and clicked on create account. It then asked me to enter deails about the layout of the adds. At the same time, they emailed me a link to a page where I had to complete my subscription details.
I completed the subscription details and submitted them and I am awaiting review. They say they will let me know in 1 - 2 days.
I will let you know how it goes…
